GadgetsNow.com has announced the winners of the inaugural Gadgets Now Awards 2019. The winners were formally unveiled at a glittering awards ceremony held on January 30 in Gurgaon. The event was graced by top executives from over 20 technology majors in India.
The awards, a celebration of the best gadgets over the past year, were presented across 12 categories that are making consumers’ lives smarter and more convenient. For each category, there were two set of awards — jury awards, selected by an eminent panel of experts and ‘People’s Choice’ award, selected through online voting. Voting for the awards was conducted between Jan 17 and Jan 29 2019 for all ‘Popular Choice’ categories,
Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 was adjudged ‘Best Smartphone of the Year’, Google’s Pixel 3XL ‘Best Camera Smartphone of the Year’ and Xiaomi Poco F1 won the ‘Value for Money Smartphone of the year’ titles. The ‘Best Budget Smartphone of the Year’ title went to Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, the Apple iPad Pro (12.9 inch) won ‘Best Tablet of the Year’, while the Apple Macbook Air was crowned the ‘Best Laptop of the Year’. In terms of Accessories and Gaming devices, the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 won the ‘Best Smart Wearable of the Year’, the Amazon Echo Plus was labeled the ‘Best Audio Device of the Year (Speakers)’ and the Jabra 65 Elite was titled the ‘Best Audio Device of the Year (Headphones)’. The Asus ROG Phone was honored as the ‘Best Gaming Device of the Year’.
