What We Are Expecting To See In The New iPhone

What We Are Expecting To See In The New iPhone

Apple products are one of the most popular devices all around the globe, with peak users in the Americas (where they are created) and China (where they are assembled). Apart from that, the Japanese also hold the gadgets in high regard, perhaps because of their love for all things high-tech.

However, in the East, in particular, Android is more popular than its fruit counterpart. Samsung is dominating the mobile phone market with the newly released GalaxyS21. So What Can The New iPhone In 2021 Offer?

Presentation and sales opening date expected price, and many supposed leaks discussed further in the article.

Naming

Are we actually getting an iPhone 13 or is it going to be an S series, as Apple has done many times before? Either way, we are making our bet that it’s going to take either of those names. We don’t have any official info from the company yet, but many famous leakers are already releasing their insights.

Quick 2020 Recap

While we were expecting groundbreaking technology, that’s not at all what we got. Sure, a new quicker chipset is a good thing, but it’s not really innovative in any sense. Every phone company uses better spec as years go on, so nothing paramount here. Apple thought it’s time to change up their design game, but in reality, we were fed the iPhone 5 enlarged model.

Overall, folks were pretty disappointed this year. The presentation in 2020 didn’t show us anything noteworthy, besides the new Lidar technology. It’s a useful feature for professionals who require it in their jobs, but apart from that, just a fancy toy.

Expectations

Sadly, we can’t make any promises about the 2021 device either. It’s not going to be what all of us are craving. There are almost certainly not going to be any kind of game-changers, with the fruit company focusing instead on the minor enhancement of the previous model. New internals, which is a no-brainer, polishing up the design, and that’s about it. The only significant improvement we are getting is apparently a camera that’s taking sharper photos and is able to shoot in slightly better night mode.

All The Details We Know So Far Below

Launch Date And Retail Price

As always, Apple will release the new iPhone this fall. However, last year was the first time ever when the release date was pushed from September to October, due to the pandemic. We have not yet received a definitive answer from their press department, as to when the major event is going to be held.

We may get the now usual delay, or we may not. It’s all up to them. An interesting fact is that last year when they pushed the release window further close to Christmas, they got better sales numbers. So they may try sticking to the new policy and see if it really works or was just a coincidence.

Presumably, Apple will act in the same manner it has in the past. They will announce their devices early in September, with some models rolling out closer to October, and the Pro Max model nearing November.

Money Talk

Price hasn’t been disclosed either, but there are a few things that may impact it. It’s not going to skyrocket or fall down substantially, but rather stay on the same line with the previous models. However, as the company is planning on downgrading the 5G technology in some markets that do not yet fully support it to the fullest potential, we may get a slight drop.

Model Variations

In 2020, we got four new models. The iPhone 12, iPhone Pro, iPhone Pro Max as well as the newborn Mini version. There are no rumors of any changes made to this line, so we are assuming to get more or less the same thing. Nevertheless,  Apple may completely drop the Mini line as it didn’t perform in sales as they expected, or downgrade it to the budget version such as the iPhone SE3 that we got back in the day.

Minor Changes

We love the design, although we had it almost ten years ago. They aren’t planning any kind of reversal of the sharp edges trend, the most we are getting is a trimmed down camera (a bit thinner) and a black matter (graphite) color for the Pro models. A slightly thinner darker phone.

Another cool feature that we might gain is a higher refresh rate. This would be useful for gamers or scrolling fast through your social media, and perhaps not much else. Still, it deserves a shout-out. You can find more news on the whole fruit experience from a website completely dedicated to the Cupertino company. We suggest checking out 9to5mac.
