As speculated earlier Sony has announced Xperia 1 with 6.5 inch 4K OLED HDR display and triple rear cameras. The world’s first smartphone using Eye AF was announced at MWC 2019. It’s triple 12-megapixel rear cameras that have 26 mm lens using RAW noise reduction and dual photo-diode image detector 16mm super lens and a 52mm lens for portrait photography and 2x optical zoom. It is also up to 10FPS AF/AE for higher speed shooting and precision focus. 21:9 Movie recording is offered by the Cinema Pro, powered by CineAlta in 4K HDR that promises results – much in back lit scenes or low light. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 6 security on the front and the rear, side-mounted fingerprint detector and packs a 3330mAh battery life.
The Xperia 1 is powered by a powerful Snapdragon 855 chipset. The device comes with 6GB of RAM. The storage options are 64GB and 128GB, expandable with up to 512GB microSD cards. The new Game Enhancer mode can set a balance between performance and battery life, it can record gameplay video (and your commentary through the 8MP selfie camera) or automatically find a walk-through for the game on YouTube and play it in a floating window.
This is just a part of the multitasking features on the phone. The Pair shortcut helps you launch two apps on the screen. The phone runs on a 3,330 mAh battery with a Sony-developed Battery Care (slower overnight charging) and Smart Stamina mode. The phone supports USB Power Delivery, though there won’t be such a charger in the box.
It’s CinemaWide 4K HDR display offering bright colors with BRAVIA X1 for mobile. It’s Creator style which uses technology to ensure constant color reproduction, so TV shows and movies are intended. Additionally, it has Dolby Atmos. Snapdragon 855 using 6GB of RAM powers it.
