Poco celebrates its first anniversary in India

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco celebrates its first anniversary in India. We are one year old today! Last year, on 22 August 2018 – we announced POCO F1 which revolutionized the smartphone industry. POCO has enjoyed immense love from tech enthusiasts, fans, media and all our partners.

POCO F1 offers an unbelievably fluid and powerful experience like no other. It features the flagship Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 845 platform,  industry-leading LiquidCool Technology cooling system, up to 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS 2.1 storage, and a long-lasting 4000mAh battery that can sustain 8 hours of non-stop gaming. Last year on 30 August, we published news when Chinese Smartphone maker Xiaomi has said it has sold sub-brand Poco F1 worth Rs 200 crores in 5 minutes Flash Sale. Xiaomi sub-brand Poco’s debut phone Poco F1 is off to a blazing start in the country. Poco announced yesterday about it selling Poco F1 phones worth over Rs 200 crore in 5 minutes in its first flash sale making it the “biggest and fastest flagship sale ever on Flipkart.” The Poco F1 went on sale for the first time in India today on Fliplart at 12PM. Although Poco did not quote the number of units sold, the amount is whopping Rs 200 crores!

An evolved POCO F1 also introduced all new Game Turbo mode which brings together a whole new level of experience by creating a dedicated gaming environment . Game Turbo enables smart allocation of CPU and GPU resources resulting in a fluid and immersive gaming experience.  POCO F1 has evolved, extending consumers a variety of innovative features they asked for. Few of these features include 960fps slo-mo video recording, steady handheld night photography, 4K video recording at 60fps and Widevine L1 certification as a part of its constant evolution. It has also been tested positively across various safety, reliability and environmental standards by TÜV Rheinland, one of the global leaders in testing and certifications. assuring highest quality standards.

This helped POCO F1 become India’s number one smartphone sold online (Above INR 15,000) as per IDC Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker, Q42018. It also went on to receive multiple industry awards such as Value For Money – Phone of the year from 91 Mobiles, Phone of the year 2018 from Beebom and Best Phone of the year from C4Etech.
