Oppo to unveil Oppo F9 Pro with Waterdrop screen in India on August 21

The Oppo F9 Pro is being launched with the tagline “Breaking New Vision” thanks to a full-screen display and a notch that Oppo is referring to as a Waterdrop screen. This is because the notch in question is in the shape of a water droplet and is as small as the notch on the Essential Phone. Oppo has already posted tons of teasers and more recently a video of the F9 Pro, giving us a pretty good look at the design of the phone.

The upcoming smartphone touts a 90.8 per cent screen-to-body ratio, which is a little less compared to the Find X that was launched in the country last month. Oppo has also revealed that the F9 Pro will come with a gradient colour design on the back and in three options – Starry Purple, Sunrise Red and Twilight Blue. Additionally, the Red and Blue colours will also get diamond-shaped patterns on the back, while the Purple colour option will have a star-studded pattern to reflect the night sky.

The Oppo F9 Pro will bring a dual rear camera setup, but the configuration of it is still unknown. The company has, however, revealed that the front camera housed in the notch will have a 25-megapixel sensor with AI support. Additionally, the camera will support what the company calls Sensor HDR, which is a feature that is found in the Oppo F7. Oppo has also confirmed VOOC flash charge support that will give you 2 hours of talktime with just 5 minutes of charge. As for the rest of the internals, things are still a bit of a mystery.
