OnePlus 6 X Marvel Avengers edition sold out within 30 seconds of Sale, Price Rs 44,999 with Cashback offers

As many of you already know, OnePlus has a parent company called as BBK Electronics, which is a major Chinese manufacturer that also manufactures Oppo and Vivo smartphones. These phones are exclusive to China and India. Only one OnePlus has managed to make their presence globally. However, all these companies share similar design language. Chinese phone maker first launched its Android smartphone – the OnePlus One – in 2014. Since then, the company has come a long way making it a global leader and so far has seven handsets under its belt. Three years later, the company is now selling out a premium and high-end phone that costs Rs. 44,999. On Tuesday, the latest OnePlus 6 X Marvel Avengers Limited Edition went on sale on the Amazon India and OnePlus India pages and its entire stock was sold out within 30 seconds.

As the phone went on sale, OnePlus also announced that those who purchase its Avengers edition phone will get a chance to win an all-expenses-paid adventure trip to Dubai. Although, currently OnePlus has not revealed how many units of the OnePlus 6 X Marvel Avengers Limited Edition it put up on sale on Tuesday, the fact that they all were snapped within 30 seconds, despite a price tag that is slightly expensive, shows that OnePlus 6 has built a rapport with consumers.

Although OnePlus 6 X Marvel Avengers Limited Edition is slightly more expensive than the  that sells for Rs. 34,999, it still appeals to customers as it boasts high-end hardware like Snapdragon 845 processor, a brilliant 6.28-inch screen, an 8GB RAM and a whopping 256 GB of internal storage.

OnePlus is, understandably, jubilant about the sale. “We are excited by the thumping response to OnePlus 6 X Marvel Avengers Limited Edition. The device went out of stock in under 30 seconds of going live on Amazon.in. To make it more special for these customers, we now invite them to team up and collect all six OnePlus — Avengers medallions and get a chance to win the OnePlus Infinity Medal Challenge,” said a spokesperson.

The company adds, “Those who could not purchase the device on Tuesday, will get a chance to buy the phone during the second — and final — limited stock sale on Amazon.in and Oneplus.in on 5th June, 2018, or from any of our authorised offline experience zones on 3rd June, 2018.”

While the consumers are getting good hardware with the OnePlus 6 Avengers edition, the company is also offering something extra, though not all will get it. OnePlus has also announced the OnePlus Infinity Medal Challenge for those who purchase the OnePlus 6 X Marvel Avengers Limited Edition. In each box, it has put in an ‘Infinity Medal’ and people who collect all six medals will get a chance to go on a sponsored ‘adventure trip to Dubai’s IMG World of Adventure featuring Marvel Zone’.

Given that each OnePlus 6 Avengers box contains only one ‘Infinity Medal’, the consumers will have to find other medals from other people who have bought the phone and will have to trade, buy or borrow the missing medals. The details of the contest have been explained by OnePlus in its community forums. Here is how OnePlus explains the contest:

“When you buy the OnePlus 6 x Marvel Avengers Limited Edition, you get an Infinity Medal in your box. There are 6 different types of Infinity Medals. To take up this challenge, you need to find a way to collect all 6 of them to be eligible to win the prize. You can buy/exchange/trade the other Infinity Medals from other people,” notes OnePlus. In return, the winners will get “roundtrip flights to Dubai on a five night/six-day adventure for two people” and “stay in a five-star futuristic hotel with iGENIE (five nights/six days) with breakfast included.” OnePlus also says that for the contest, “all entries should be submitted by 30th June 2018”.
