Huawei likely to unveil Nova 3 and Nova 3i with GPU Turbo Technology in July
Huawei is likely to unveil a new series of smartphones with GPU Turbo Technology in July. The series contains two smartphones named Nova 3 and Nova 3i. The news comes after the company recently made the smartphones official in China with sale starting July 17. Soon after, the smartphones could also be expected to make their foray into the Indian market.
Also the Huawei Nova 3 and Nova 3i will serve as the first devices in India to come with Huawei’s GPU Turbo technology. The company will roll out the feature as software update to other devices in the next few months. Huawei’s GPU Turbo is a graphic processing acceleration technology that the company claims can boost graphic performance by around 60 percent while reducing the energy consumption by around 30 percent. The technology also allows users to enjoy a 4D gaming experience with the help of AI, ensuring real-time image and sound recognition, and intelligent game vibrations. Additionally, it will also enable devices to run intensive gaming applications and offer a smooth AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality) experience.
Nova 3, Nova 3i specifications & price
The Huawei Nova 3 will be packing a Kirin 970 processor, paired alongside Mali-G72 MP12 GPU, and GPU Turbo technology. The phone will feature 6GB of RAM and will come in storage options of 64GB and 128GB. On top of all of this, it comes with a 6.3-inch FHD+ curved glass display with a notch and an aspect ratio of 19:5:9. The Nova 3 comes with four cameras, two at the front and two at the back. The dual rear camera setup includes a 16-MP sensor paired alongside a 24-MP secondary sensor for taking portrait shots. At the front, it has a 24-megapixel sensor with a 2-MP secondary sensor with face unlocking feature.
Not all the specifications are known yet about Nova 3i, but the key specs are pretty much known. The Nova 3 is fueled by a Kirin 970 SoC, but the Nova 3i is said to be powered by the Kirin 710 chipset which is yet to made official by Huawei.
The phone is said to have a 3,340 mAh battery and may also carry support for 5V/2A charging. The phone will likely arrive in two variants 4 GB RAM with 128 GB storage and 6 GB RAM with 64 GB storage. This does come across a little unusual though as you would expect a 6 GB RAM variant to be paired with 128 GB of storage.
The Nova 3i is expected to be priced between CNY 1,999 (Rs 20,520) and CNY 2,199 (Rs. 22,550).
