Finnish Smartphone maker HMD Global has unveiled three smartphones in Russia namely Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 5.1. However, there is no confirmation yet when these phones shall be made available in other countries. Some leaks are pointing to Nokia 5.1 Plus or Nokia X5 smartphone to be launched. A Nokia smartphone with model number TA-1109 has got a certification for Bluetooth recently. This is the same device which recently stopped by at China’s CCC for certification. While the certification does not reveal much details about the device, it does confirm that the smartphone will be powered by a MediaTek chipset. The certification confirms that the device will support Bluetooth 4.2.
While there is no clarity on which Nokia device does TA-1109 represent, it could be the rumored Nokia 5.1 Plus. A recent leak revealed that HMD Global is working on a MediaTek-powered smartphone called the Nokia 5.1 Plus and it is possible that TA-1109 is the 5.1 Plus or Nokia X5. In addition, two more models of the Nokia X6 – TA-1083 and TA-1116 – have also been spotted in Bluetooth certification listings. It shall be clear in near future that HMD Global is planning to introduce these phones in other markets as well.
