Asus Zenfone Max Pro 6GB/64GB RAM has an improved performance compared to 3/4 GB Variant
The Asus Zenfone Max Pro 6GB/64GB RAM has an improved performance compared to 3/4 GB Variant. The ZenFone Max Pro packs a massive 5000 mAh battery, a 15.2 cms (5.99) FHD+ Full View display and a dual-camera system into a compact metal body. It is powered by the fast and energy-efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon™ 636 Mobile Platform, with Adreno™ 509 graphics for enhanced responsiveness and outstanding gaming performance. However, the Asus Zenfone 6GB variant has shown improved performance compared to 3GB/4GB RAM variant. Post updates, the updated version has shown improvement in performance and camera performance.
Gaming performance on the ZenFone Max Pro M1 has also improved slightly, with PUBG Mobile picking up medium graphics settings as the default option, in constrast to the low graphics settings selected by the 3GB RAM variant. The 4GB variant has indicated positive effect on the device’s multi-tasking capabilities.
The Camera department has shown better image quality. Images are sharper and brighter with colours giving a more vibrant look. However, the over-saturation issue that we found on the previous variant is now removed and the color temperature is definitely more true to life. Low-light performance on the ZenFone Max Pro M1 is also a bit improved compared to earlier variants. Althought the upgraded cameras are able to capture a bit more detail, but noise and blur is still an issue. It is worthwhile to note that the amount of light captured by the device in low-light conditions is much better. For the price, the camera definitely works wonders in low-light, even beating the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro in low-light situations.
As expected, the audio quality is right at par with the 3GB RAM variant with the smartphone delivering decent call quality and a pretty loud sound output from the downward firing speaker. Since the speakers are placed on the bottom, they can be muffled quite easily, but Asus leverages the speaker placement and provides a Max-box amplifier in the package which makes the phone sound pretty great.
With so much power on tap, users can browse more, game more, stream more — and talk as much as they want without worrying about finding a power outlet. The ZenFone Max Pro (M1) offers users up to 20 hours of YouTube video playback, up to 42 hours of 3G talk time and up to 28 hours of Wi-Fi web browsing. On a single charge, users can enjoy playing more: for example, up to 45 rounds of Mobile Legends, or up to 2 seasons of Games of Thrones.
