Seldom do we come across smartphones manufactured in India by an Indian company or a ‘desi’ as we all call it. Indian companies have come a long way after the influx of ‘imported’ phones in the country by foreign players. Micromax is one such ‘desi’ brand which manufactures consumer electronics at it’s Indian facilities. Micromax is an Indian consumer electronics company headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana. It was established as an Information Technology / Software company operating in the Embedded Devices Domain. Later it ventured into Mobile Handset business. Micromax Informatics Limited is the 10th largest mobile phone player in the world. Over the past decade, Micromax has pioneered the democratisation of technology in India – by offering affordable innovations through their product offerings and removing barriers for large scale adoption of advanced technologies.

Micromax products have become an extension of the Indian youth’s lifestyle and dynamism. The company has many firsts to its credit when it comes to the mobile handset market; including the 30-day battery backup, Dual SIM Dual Standby phones, QWERTY keypads, universal remote control mobile phones & first quad-core budget smart phone. The brand’s product portfolio embraces more than 60 models today, ranging from feature rich, dual-SIM phones, 3G Android smartphones, tablets, LED televisions and data cards.

Micromax sells around 2.3 million Mobility Devices every month, with a presence in more than 560 districts through 1, 25,000 retail outlets in India. In this blog we are covering the review of Micromax Infinity N11 mobile.

Micromax Infinity N11 smartphone was launched in December 2018. The phone comes with a 6.19-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 x 1500 pixels. Here are the product description after review.

Storage 

Processor – Powered by a 2 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC processor. It comes with 2 GB of RAM. Micromax Infinity N11 comes with an inbuilt memory of 32 GB, which helps to get large space for keeping multiple files. The device also has an option for an external memory slot which is extendable up to 128 GB.

Battery

It draws the charge from massive 4,000mAh Li-Polymer battery that is huge enough and can give a healthy back up for long hours with a single charge.

Display and Camera

Micromax Infinity N11 flaunts a bezel-less display having a notch on top. It comes with a 6.19-inch IPS LCD screen having a resolution of 720 x 1,500 pixels that gives a nice viewing experience. The density of 269PPI that adds sharpness to the view.

It sports a dual setup of rear cameras of 13MP + 5MP with LED flash and autofocus which helps to click more vivid and detailed pictures. The frontal sensor of 8MP with LED flash captures bright and clear selfies even in low light.

RAM/ROM – Micromax Infinity N11 based on Android 8.1 and packs 32GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB) with a dedicated slot. The Micromax Infinity N11 is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards.

Configuration and Connectivity

Configuration – The device is based on a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset. It packs an octa-core Cortex A53 processor having a clock speed of 2GHz, which can deliver a good performance. The processor is accompanied by a 2GB RAM to help in multitasking. For the graphics, there is a PowerVR GE8320 GPU that will keep the overall function smooth running.

In terms of connectivity, the Micromax Infinity N11 has many options including 4G-VoLTE connection, Mobile Hotspot, GPS, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0 etc.

Connectivity – Connectivity options on Micromax Infinity N11 include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Micro-USB, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India) with active 4G on both SIM cards. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. Micromax Infinity N11 supports face unlock.

Verdict

The Micromax infinity N11 is a budget-friendly smartphone that covers almost every aspect. The cameras can click fine and detailed pictures with a healthy back up by its large battery. The storage is also a plus point to get this phone. However, considering the budget, the Micromax Infinity N11 lacks in HD resolution compared to other smartphones.
