Isuzu offers 5-year comprehensive warranty for MU-X instead of 3-year earlier

Japanese Automaker, Isuzu, in a plan towards making the Isuzu MU-X more attractive, has launched a comprehensive 5-year warranty to be availed when buying the SUV. The 5-year comprehensive warranty offers buyers a five-year periodic maintenance plan in addition to the extended warranty. Called the 5ecure, Isuzu will be offering the 5-year comprehensive warranty to new customers at zero additional cost. For existing MU-X customers, they can avail the 5ecure 5-year comprehensive warranty for an additional cost until June 30, 2018.

Under the 5ecure 5-year comprehensive warranty, customers will be given a 5-year/1,50,000km cap, instead of the standard 3-year/1,00,000km limit. Also, during periodic maintenance which includes the cost of spare parts such as air-filter, oil-filter, lubricants, and labor is also free. The 5ecure is slated to bring down ownership costs of the SUV in a large manner. However, replacement of parts and components which have been damaged due to wear and tear or various accidental damages which are not covered under the 5ecure plan.

The Isuzu MU-X SUV was launched in India last year with prices starting at Rs 24.73 lakh, ex-showroom. The SUV can be availed in two trims – 2×4 and 4×4. The MU-X SUV is the flagship model in Isuzu’s India range and comes powered by a 3.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine which generates 177hp and 380Nm of torque. The powertrain is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission.
