OnePlus launches “5G Apps of Tomorrow” programme, top 5 app developers get 50,000 Euros

Chinese Mobile Manufacturer OnePlus has announced the launch of”5G Programs of Tomorrow” programme. The programme envisages to encourage and galvanize developers around the world to come up with a brand new 5G application that could help users.

In order to encourage the developers to plan 5G programs, OnePlus aims to integrate industry tools. At the event, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau was along with Qualcomm President, Cristiano R. Amon, discussed the future and chances of 5G.

With both OnePlus and Qualcomm Technologies partnering together teaming up to develop 5G smartphone programs, and also 5G network environments. Also, the OnePlus Community’s support may be required to re-imagine 5G capabilities.

Applications to this program are being called from now onwards at OnePlus.com/5G and the ultimate winners will soon be evaluated by a panel including the CEOs of both OnePlus and EE, executives from Qualcomm Technologies, and a residential district vote. 20 finalists will be selected on the 10th April 2019 and 5 winners will be announced. The top 5 finalists will be awarded Euros 50,000. This is quite a lucrative offer and calls for the best of technologists to come into the competition and evolve the best design.
