Vivo X21 to be unveiled on May 29 in India

Vivo X21 is to be unveiled in India on May 29, 2018. As posted earlier on our publication, Chinese Smartphone maker is likely to unveil its flagship Vivo X21 tomorrow at New Delhi. The Vivo X21 which features an under-display fingerprint scanner has been expected to launch in India for a while now and it seems like Vivo is finally going to launch it on 29 May and pre-booking for the smartphone has already begun.

The smartphone which is the only smartphone yet to feature an under-display fingerprint scanner has already been launched in China and is expected to be priced in the Rs 30,000- 35,000 range in India.

Vivo X21 is available for pre-booking on Vivo’s online store. Post payment of the advance fee, users will be sent a Rs 2,000 coupon on their email, which can be applied on May 29 to buy the phone. Do note that the balance amount also needs to be paid while purchasing the phone.

Customers who pre-book Vivo X21 will be offered gift voucher worth Rs 1,000 from Ferns n Petals. Vodafone will give one year device security along with 280GB additional data. In addition, users can avail five per cent cashback on SBI credit card and no cost EMI up to 12 months.

As far as specifications go, the Vivo X21 comes with a 6.28-inch Super AMOLED display with 1,080 x 2,280 pixels resolution. The display of the device comes with an iPhone X like a notch on the top. Inside, there’s an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and a dedicated AI core with an Adreno 512 GPU.

The under-display fingerprint device features a dual-camera setup of 12 MP and 5 MP on the rear side of the smartphone. The front camera comes with a 12 MP sensor, which is also used to unlock the smartphone using facial recognition feature called Face Wake 2.0. The dual camera stands vertically on the rear side of the smartphone with a LED flash placed below it.

Three colour variants including Aurora White, Ruby Red and Black colours were available when it was announced in China. The Vivo X21 also runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box along with Funtouch OS 4.0 skin and is powered by 3,200 mAh battery with fast-charging support.
