Vivo may unveil a smartphone with in-display fingerprint sensor in India on May 29
Chinese smartphone maker Vivo is expected to unveil a smartphone with in-display fingerprint sensor in India on 29 May. buzzing with new launches all-round the year with handsets that are mostly alike, but once in a while, there comes a handset that offers something unique. And this time, it is being expected that Vivo is soon going to launch its handset with under display fingerprint sensor in the country.
The Chinese smartphone maker has already sent out media invites for an event scheduled on May 29 featuring an X with a prominent fingerprint in the centre. The company is selling already selling two handsets in China — Vivo X21 and Vivo X20 Plus UD — boasting of this feature. But as per speculation, Vivo is going to bring the former handset to India.
- The Vivo X21 features a 6.28-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 19:9 aspect ratio with 1080 x 2280 pixel resolution. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, the handset offers 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant.
- As for camera, there is a dual rear camera setup, placed vertically, consisting of a 12-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture) and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor (f/2.4 aperture) with LED flash.
- There is also an iPhone X like notch that houses a 12-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture boasting of features like 3D mapping, and Face Wake facial recognition.
