Realme 2 unveiled in India 3GB/32GB for Rs 8990 and 4GB/64GB for Rs 10990
Oppo sub-brand Realme unveiled Realme 2 in India at an event in New Delhi.Available exclusively on Flipkart, Realme 2 becomes the first to offer a Notch Full Screen in the sub-10k segment. The phone marries the “Power meets Style” product philosophy, taking it ‘A Notch Above’ by offering a big and AI-powered 4,230mAh battery with 13+2 dual rear camera. Realme 2 will be available in 3 stylish colors, Diamond Black, Diamond Red and Diamond Blue in two versions: 3GB RAM+32GB ROM priced at INR 8,990 and 4GB RAM+64GB ROM priced at INR 10,990. The Diamond Black and Diamond Red will be exclusively available on Flipkart from September 4th, 12 noon onwards while the Diamond Blue will be available by early October this year.
Born as OPPO’s sub-brand, Realme is now an independent brand targeted at global youth. The brand having “India-first” approach, will comprise of 90% of local young talents and all the products will be made in India. Strengthening its position in the bustling Indian market, the Realme smartphone brand will be entering the Middle East and South East Asia markets soon.

Realme has upped the ante by offering a 360-degree customer service system. The brand will be offering a new “Callme” Service, through which the service staff will reach at their doorsteps or preferred locations to collect the devices for repairing. Customers can also courier the devices to registered service centers free of cost. Meanwhile, Realme customers will also have access to almost 500 OPPO service centers across India with guaranteed 90% of repair cases resolved within an hour.
Immersive Display and Exquisite Design
In terms of features, Realme 2 will sport a Notch Full Screen that is 6.2 inches, promising an immersive experience with a length-width ratio of 19:9. Its screen-body ratio reaches up to 88.8% which is one of the highest in its price segment. The notch screen brings with it many user-friendly features like several short-cuts on the notch area to apps such as WhatsApp, SMS and others, without exiting your game or video when you play or watch in the full landscape mode. The notch area short-cuts also support screen recording and screenshots.
Realme 2 features the second generation of the Diamond-cutting Design, featuring a more exquisite diamond appearance with more elaborate craftsmanship. It is made up of 12-layer nano-tech composite material which is also scratch-resistant. The versatile colours Diamond Black, Diamond Red and Diamond Blue will be a good fit to represent style and personality in a better way.
Superior Performance and High-capacity Battery
Focusing on an all-round performance in the budget- friendly segment, Realme 2 is packed with an octa-core processor Snapdragon 450, with the powerful GPU Adreno 506. With the built in AI Gaming Acceleration boosting the performance, users can enjoy a seamless gaming experience on Realme 2. Both the versions (3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB) support triple-slot, so you can use dual 4G SIM cards, and one SD card which is expandable to 256GB.
The Realme 2 is powered with a bigger and smarter 4230mAh battery with AI Power Master, which can smartly allocate processor resources for running and in-background apps and reduces overall power consumption to 5%-11%, without compromising normal APP operation. The combination of Snapdragon octa-core processor 450 and 4230mAh battery will ensure smooth performance and reduce heating and battery consumption.

For the rear Dual Camera, Realme 2 comes with a 13MP main camera and a 2MP secondary camera, which uses PDAF fast focusing technology for users to seize wonderful moments even in low light. The bokeh effect of the camera helps the frame to be sharper and the blurred background to be more natural, offering probably the best portrait effects in this price segment.
For the 8MP selfie camera, the AI Shot in Realme 2 intelligently recognises 296 facial points and accordingly gives customized beauty effects, even for the body and group selfie.
AI-powered Color OS 5.1 and User-friendly Experience
The Realme 2 comes with a brand new and enhanced user interface based on the latest ColorOS 5.1, elevating the overall consumer experience. In addition to the AI Power Master, AI Gaming Acceleration and AI Shot, Realme 2 also has smarter and safer AI features such as AI Board, and the new Smart Drive mode where the phone will automatically detect that you are driving and then reduce the less important app notifications.
