OnePlus6 to be launched in London on May 16 followed by India & China on May 17; India Pricing starts at Rs 36,999

OnePlus is gearing up for a mega launch event to unveil OnePlus 6 on May 16 in London. Subsequently the killer flagship shall be launched on May 17 in India and China.

Further to earlier news vis-à-vis OnePlus 6, the leaks have confirmed the India pricing for the killer flagship. With the successful set of flagships launched last year (the OnePlus 5 and 5T), OnePlus has created a niche market in premium segment smartphones resulting in making OnePlus 6 one of most hyped phones of 2018. However, the hype that surrounds the OnePlus 6, has gathered lot of attention due to many leaks in the past few days.

According to True-Tech.net, which provided accurate pricing for OnePlus 5 earlier, the India pricing is

The phone will sport iPhone X like notch to house its front camera, proximity sensor, and earpiece, and users will get the software option to hide the notch if they don’t like it. The smartphone will also have a glass back panel, which is thought to enable wireless charging. The phone boasts of a Snapdragon 845 SoC, a 6.2-inch OLED panel with a 19:9 aspect ratio, 3,450 mAh battery, a dual camera setup with 16-megapixel (f/1.7) and 20-megapixel (f/2.0) sensors, and will run on Android 8.0 or 8.1 Oreo out of the box. The OnePlus 6 will also sport a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Water resistance on the smartphone has also been teased, as has new Alert Slider which is expected to gain ‘Slide to Focus’ functionality. OnePlus 6 is also rumoured to sport vertical dual rear cameras, and offer a Super Slo Mo feature for video recording.
