Mobiistar X1 Notch – First Impressions – ‘Enjoy More’ Budget Smartphone

Mobiistar, originally a smartphone brand came to India in May 2018 with its Star Selfie Series and went on to announce its offline expansion in August with the launch of a range of 5 selfie centric smartphones. Mobiistar has already partnered with over 500 distributors across the country to bolster its operations. The company has also set up 1000 service centres to provide best in class after sales services to its customers. With the promise of a pan India presence, currently Mobiistar is already present in 475 cities and 27 states. Mobiistar then ended the year with its smartphone, the C1 Shine, a smartphone that allows its users to take great selfies and comes in incredible designs at an affordable cost.

Mobiistar had unveiled its latest smartphone – the X1 Notch in the New Year 2019. As the name suggests, the smartphone has introduced its first notch phone with this flagship. The flagship has an impressive 13MP AI selfie camera present inside the notch. The device contains a battery capacity of 3020 mAh. The Mobiistar X1 Notch will also be available in 2 variants – 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM and 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. This device will be available in 3 colors – Gradient Shine, Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue.

Here in this article we are presenting our first impressions of 3GB RAM & 32 GB ROM Mobiistar X1 Notch – Gradient Shine Colour.

At a first glance, Mobiistar X1 Notch looks impressive with its gradient design. The smartphone has a curved glass design with dual color glass back. The device looks takes on various colors when light hits it surface from different angles. We can see mix of blue or purple stint along with smooth straight gradient lines. The overall looks lead to good finish and gives a look and feel of premium features encased in a budget smartphone.

The smartphone comes with a single 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a front side has 13 MP selfie camera. The fingerprint reader is present below the camera housing. The finger print sensor feature is again a look and feel of premium device. It has a shiny back with curved finishes at edges. On the front side of the smartphone, a notch is present with 13MP selfie camera. The notch looks a little bigger than most notches that we have seen so far. The right hand side of the device sports volume rockers and the power button while the left hand side has the SIM tray. The top of the smartphone has the audio jack.

Mobiistar X1 Notch comes with a charger, a micro USB wire, a headset, a SIM ejector and a transparent silicone cover to protect the smartphone.

Display – Coming to the display, the device comes with 5.71 inch HD+ display with a notch on the top. The device has a screen resolution of 720 X 1498 pixels.The display looks clear and crisp and we can see well even in sunlight.

Storage – The phone comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM which is expandable with microSD card. The SIM tray can accommodate two nano SIMs and a microSD card can also be added. Both the SIM slots are 4G VoLTE enabled. We tried our JIO SIM and it worked just fine.

Battery – Mobiistar X1 Notch has a battery capacity of 3020mAh Lithium ion battery which looks decent. The device comes with fingerprint reader and face unlock features.

Processor – Mobiistar X1 Notch comes with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. The software looks light and easy to use. We did not encounter any problem while operating the device and are given to understand it has been found quite good option among the devices in the same segment.

The Mobiistar X1 Notch will be available in 2 variants – 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM and 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM.

Conclusion – With premium features leaded in this smartphone we are given to say it is a good buy for a customer who is looking at affordable budget phone with latest trend of premium features available in premium smartphones. Mobiistar X1 Notch looks promising in the budget range with its gradient shine and dual colors with the battery capacity of 3020 mAh. The look and feel is quite impressive and anyone can mistook it for one of a premium device.

The looks are tempting and so are the features which is very affordable when compared with the other under 10K budget smartphones available in the market.
