Introduction
Asus ZenFone Max M2 is a mid-range smartphone developed specifically for Indian consumers in 10k to 15k price segment. It comes in two variants 3GB RAM / 32 GB priced at Rs. 9,999 and 4GB RAM / 64 GB at Rs 11,999. The phone was launched in December 2018 as a successor to its successful stint with Asus ZenFone Max M1 which was launched in April 2018.
The Asus Zenfone Max M2 mobile features a 6.26″ (15.9 cm) display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels and runs on Android v8.1 (Oreo) operating system. The device is powered by Octa core (1.8 GHz, Quad core, Kryo 250 + 1.8 GHz, Quad core, Kryo 250) processor paired with 3 GB of RAM. As far as the battery is concerned it has 4000 mAh. Over that, as far as the rear camera is concerned this mobile has a 13 MP + 2 MP camera.
Other sensors include Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Compass, Gyroscope and also a fingerprint sensor. For graphical performance that can make games run smoothly, this phone has got an Adreno 506 GPU. On board storage is at 32 GB with the option of memory expansion by up to 2 TB.

Design Views
The phone is sleek with a non-slippery back which has rounded edges glass in front. The frame is aluminium and has a metal back plate. The Camera module is nearly flush with the surface and there is no protruding effect. The frame is made of aluminium and there’s a metal backplate. Design is one of the most important factors when it comes to mobiles. This phone is 7.7 mm slim and weighs 160 grams.
The Asus Zenfone Max M2 comes with a 6.26-inch IPS LCD display having a screen resolution of 720 x 1,520 pixels and a density of 269 PPI that will let users watch their favourite movies with great pleasure.
The performance is based on two Kryo 250 quad-core processors having 1.8GHz clock speeds. Those are seated upon the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 chipset and there is an Adreno 506 GPU which provides great graphics and a 3GB RAM that will handle the multitasking and gaming.
Battery and Connectivity
The Asus Zenfone Max M2 comes with a 4,000mAh Li-Po battery which can supply power for more than a day with a single charge. For the connectivity, it comes with two 4G supports. Other options include Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS, microUSB 2.0 etc.
Camera and Storage
The device features a dual rear setup of 13MP + 2MP sensors that can capture amazing pictures users will love to share. There is an 8MP front camera that clicks beautiful selfies and helps to make an excellent video calling. All the pictures, other media files, and data can be stored in the 32GB space which is provided inbuilt. There is an external memory slot which supports up to 2TB and can be used via a microSD card.

Verdict
The Asus Zenfone Max M2 comes in mid-range having a great number of features. The plus point of the device is the immense battery backup that will let the user run it for more than a day. The cameras are also superb with high sensors that will capture amazing pictures. It has a strong processor that will provide with a seamless multitasking. Expect for the display which does support Full HD, it is a great device in an affordable budget.
