Samsung Note 9 image leaks, to be unveiled on August 9 in New York

Korean Smartphone maker Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Note 9 at a high-profile Unpacked event in New York on August 9. Ahead of launch Samsung’s official New Zealand YouTube channel has accidentally leaked what looks like an official video teaser of the upcoming Galaxy Note 9. The video, that has now been taken down, teases and also confirms some of the top features of the Galaxy Note 8 successor.

As per the leaked video, the S-Pen will be a major highlight of the Galaxy Note 9, something that has already been confirmed by Samsung as well. It shows off the blue variant of the Note 9 and the stylus is yellow. Looks-wise, it doesn’t look very different from the Galaxy Note 8, which has been tipped time and again. In the video, Samsung is seen teasing the Note 9’s all-day battery life and 1TB-ready expandable memory. Although this doesn’t suggest that the Note 9 will come with 1TB storage, but does hint at a possible high-end variant that may come with 512GB of on-board storage.

As for enhanced battery life, it may pack a large 4,000mAh battery with support for both fast and wireless charging. Samsung is also reportedly working on a dual charging wireless pad that it may launch alongside the Galaxy Note 9.

Samsung CEO DJ Koh was recently spotted using the Galaxy Note 9 at a media event, seemingly confirming long-standing rumours that the company’s next high-end phablet would look a lot like the Galaxy Note 8 with one big difference.

DJ Koh was seen using the Galaxy Note 9 in a photograph from a media event. More specifically, he was seen using the S-Pen, while holding the Note 9 in a position that gave just enough information regarding the one big change expected to make the cut. The Galaxy Note 9, as per the picture, had a redesigned dual camera module on the back and the fingerprint scanner was seen sitting below it. The same design is confirmed via the video doing the rounds now.

However, the phone’s price too has been revealed. The phone has been listed on a Malaysian website in two variants: one with 128GB storage and the other one with 512GB variant. The 128GB variant has been listed with a price of RM4299, which equals to around Rs 72,150. And this could be the starting price for the Galaxy Note 9 in India as well. The 512GB variant has been listed with price RM5099, which in Indian rupees should be approximately Rs 85,575. It is possible that in India, the Note 9 will launch with similar prices, although these would be the MRPs and the market operating price (MoP) could be lower by a few thousand rupees.

Stay tuned for more updates!
