Realme 2 Pro Review

Earlier a sub brand of Oppo, Realme is now a separate company and its recent phone launched was the Realme 2 Pro. After Realme 2, the pro version of it has a better built and it has been designed especially for the millennials and the students. But the main question here is that whether it can stand out from its competitors or not. The market price of Realme 2 Pro is INR 13990 with amazing Snapdeal Coupons today. We will be discussing about the phone’s pros and cons and how well the phone performs.

Design

Though the phone isn’t very heavy, holding it in one hand seems difficult due to its big size. Realme 2 pro has a 6.3 inch screen with a full HD+ display and a dewdrop notch. The phone is a little thick with a thickness of 8.5mm, but its rounded edges made from polycarbonate make it quite comfortable when it comes to holding the phone. The rear face of the phone, as the Realme as quoted it, has a crystal like dewdrop effect. It has been laminated with multiple layers giving it a feel similar to that of a glass panel. The rear glass panel like side is a fingerprint magnet and offers a little resistance to scratches.

The screen comes with a protection layer of Gorilla Glass 3. The bezels are sleek and slim. The popular aspect of the phone is its dew drop notch, which makes the phone look good aesthetically. There is sufficient room for front camera, right to it are the sensors and the earpiece has been places above the camera. There are volume and power buttons, which are easy to reach. The sim tray can carry two nano sims and you can add a micro SD card and expand the storage of the phone up to 256 GB.

The bottom of Realme 2 pro has a Micro USB port, speaker grille and a 3.5mm headset jack. This means that you might tend to block the speaker when you hold the phone in landscape mode. Fingerprint sensor has been placed at the back of the phone. The box of Realme 2 pro will include a Micro USB cable, one 10W charger, one SIM eject tool, instruction leaflets and a silicone case.

Software

The phone has Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC processor. Only some phones under INR 20,000, like Xiaomi Mi A2 and Vivo V9 Pro have this processor. You can choose from three versions of the phone based on the RAM, one is with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, another is with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage and the last one is with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage space. Other features included in the phone are Bluetooth 5, USB OTG, dual band Wi Fi, gyroscope, a compass, one light sensor, an accelerometer and a proximity sensor. The phone lacks FM radio and NFC.

Performance and Camera

Realme 2 pro doesn’t slow down under multitasking. Heavy applications and games run very smoothly on the phone. Color reproduction is good with vibrant and vivid display. Quality of calls is good and you can record calls too. There is a feature of graphic acceleration so that you can enjoy games, like Arena of Valor, PUBG and Asphalt 9 Legends, at their best. It will be better to use headphones as the single speaker isn’t too loud.

The rear camera is a 16 megapixel one and it captures good and detailed pictures in daylight. There is a wide range of modes to choose from. There is a second 2 megapixel sensor that helps in capturing depth. Front camera is a 16 megapixel as well and works quite well.

It has some useful and quick gestures too. The three finger swipe gesture will make you enter the split screen mode. With a down swipe, you can take a quick screenshot. Explore finding best gadgets online with discounted rates having latest Amazon Coupons today.

Battery –

Realme 2 pro has a 3500mAh battery. It lasts for almost a day with one charge. The phone doesn’t provide the feature of fast charging.

Conclusion –

It is surely a powerful phone and comes at a good price too. With the same processor, vivo v 9 pro and Mi A2 cost more. Realme 2 pro is a fast and good looking model and the only areas that aren’t up to the mark are the dim light photography and video performance. If you are looking for an all rounder mobile under 20K, it is a good option.
