The Moto G6 and G6 Play are now officially launched in India. The launch event by Motorola started at 11:45 AM. The programme was hosted by Maniesh Paul (a popular Indian television host). Motorola has made big changes in the Moto G6 series as compared to last year’s G5 phones. The new Moto G6 has a sleek and stylish design, the internals is upgraded with the new processors and better cameras. Especially, the Moto G6 Play has a huge 4000mAh battery. Talking about the features, both the Moto G6 and G6 Play comes with the new 18:9 aspect ratio displays along with some new moto gestures and improved voice control.
The Moto G6 packs a 5.7 inches Full HD+ (Max Vision) IPS display with the 18:9 aspect ratio. There is Gorilla Glass 3 protection above the screen. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. Coming to the RAM and storage, the Moto G6 comes with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB ROM.
For photography, the G6 has Dual rear-facing cameras consisting of 12MP and 5MP sensors. For selfies, it has an 8MP front camera. Both the rear and front cameras are accompanied by the LED flash. Camera features include – Portrait mode, Face filters, panorama, manual mode, slow-motion video, etc.
The Moto G6 has a 3000mAh battery with Turbocharging. It has a USB Type – C connector. The battery is good enough to last for a whole working day. The phone has Google Assistant and Moto Voice support. The mobile support Dual Nano SIMs, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, USB type – C port and a Fingerprint sensor. Moto G6 has water repellent coating for little protection against water. Dimensions – 153.8 x 72.3 x 8.3 mm. It weighs around 169g.
The Moto G6 starts at just Rs 13,999 for the variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM version costs Rs 15,999 in India. The sale will start on June 5th.
The Moto G6 Play is a smaller version of G6. It has a 5.7-inch HD+ display with 1 resolution of 720×1440 pixels. It is powered by a Snapdragon 430 chipset with 3GB RAM. The device has 32GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 128GB via a MicroSD card.
The Moto G6 has a 13MP single rear camera with f/2.0 aperture. On the front, it has 8MP with f/2.2 aperture and wide angle lens. The handset packs a huge 4000mAh battery. It supports Turbo Charging (Fast charging). The dimensions are – 154.4 x 72.2 x 8.95 mm and weighs 173 grams.
Coming to the pricing, Moto G6 Play costs Rs 11,999. In this price segment, G6 Play will compete with other budget phones like Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1.
