Let’s discuss the tips for the same:-

.)  Dim The Screen:- The backlight of the screen is one of the major factors when it comes to draining out of battery. While modern technology laptop has LED lights but still that drains out a lot of battery from the laptop. And by dimming the light of your screen can add up to 30-40 minutes to your battery life and can save you a lot from charging again and again for your laptop. While many laptop’s keyboards have a shortcut on it for the same but you can still do it manually by going to set and changing the brightness to a lower side.

.)  Change The Power Setting:- Many computers have a default setting of using power mode on the “balanced” settings, while there is an option available with the name of “power saving” mode. This allows your laptop to use only required power and it shuts down all the applications and tools that run in the background. This setting can be changed under the control panel settings.

.)  Disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth :-Almost all the computers have the setting where the Wi-Fi is always on searching mode, so if you are out of the range of known server your computer will search for the available connections near it to connect with and same is with Bluetooth and this drains a lot of battery from the laptop. So simply disable this tool when you are not using both, i.e. Bluetooth and Wi-fi.

.)  Don’t Leave Your Laptop on Permanent Charge:- If the laptop is left on permanent charging it won’t charge the battery of your laptop hundred percent, in fact, it will drain out most of the battery instead of getting it charged. A lithium-ion battery is smart batteries and they never get overcharged. So putting your laptop on a permanent charge is of no use.

.)  Disconnect or Remove Unnecessary Peripherals:- If you have left the CD or USB drive connected to the laptop. The first thing to do is disconnect them at the first step. Leaving CD in the drive or USB attached to the laptop will use the power from your laptop even when they won’t be in the working stage. So, make sure you remove them when they are not in use.

.)  Get A Second Battery:- If there is an option in your laptop to get a second battery for your laptop. Many laptops are compatible with the higher capacity than they come with. So if there is an option then go for a second spare battery. This will never let you have a situation where you have to switch off your applications in the background.

.)  But A New Battery:- The misconception about the battery of a laptop that they will last for a lifetime is a false assumption. A battery loses its life over the time with the use up to 50 percent. And if anybody has noticed on the laptop, there is never the warranty provided more than laptop’s or is not provided at all. So if there are such options than go for the change of your battery.

.)  Manage Your Memory:- If a person uses a lot of tabs at a time or runs a lot of applications without turning them off at the same time then that person is using a lot of battery at a time while working at just one application or one tab but has so many applications are running at the same time. So that you should manage your tabs and applications and keep a tab on the running applications and what you really need to work on and what are just junk tabs.

There is some test that can run to know the condition of your laptop’s battery. While these are the options that you can opt for making a lot of difference in the battery life. A lot of things depend on your usage, how much you are using and what kind of use you have. For example, If one is using the laptop with WiFi, then the battery consumption will be higher than the normal use of a laptop. So with these tips, one should know what is the best way to use the laptop according to their usage and need.
