Jio GigaFiber fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) broadband registrations start today i.e. Independence Day and interested users can browse the MyJio app or the company’s website on India’s Independence Day on August 15 to register for a new broadband connection from the telecom operator.
The company will prioritise the rollout of Jio GigaFiber in localities based on the interest it has received from registrations. Jio GigaFiber will compete with leading broadband service providers, as well as satellite cable operators.
Jio GigaFiber registrations will begin today and people will also be able to book a new Jio Phone 2 from the MyJio App and Jio.com, which is the company’s official website. Coming to the Jio GigaFiber broadband services, Reliance Jio will be introducing its new Jio GigaFiber in 1100 Indian cities in the initial stages.
Step 1: Head to the MyJio App or the company’s official website Jio.com
Step 2: Click on the Jio GigaFiber registrations options
Step 3: Enter your details such as contact number, address, email account etc.
Step 4: Now apply for a new Jio GigaFiber connection by entering all the needed details for registration.
Step 5: Since the Jio GigaFiber registrations are free, you won’t be charged anything upfront while an installation team will reach your home on a specified date which will be mentioned in the confirmation message or mail.
Step 6: The installation team will bring the Jio GigaRouter with them to install the new Jio GigaFiber connection.
Earlier reports have highlighted that in order to get a new Jio GigaFiber broadband connection, you might have to pay Rs. 4,500 up front to the installation team as a security deposit for the Jio GigaRouter, and on the other hand, Reliance Jio has confirmed that the Jio GigaFiber service will be free for new users for the first three months of getting a connection.
