One of my friends is a corporate professional who travels a lot across the country. He stays in good hotels which offer comfort in return for the money being spent on the accommodation. In one of my chat with him he mentioned that he gives a lot of preference to hotels which offer comfort in terms of night stay. What is Wink & Nod

Wink & Nod was launched in 2017 after five months of research and development before their first iteration. The founder is Sandeep Prasad. Sandeep had teamed up with people from e-commerce and logistics. Since then, the company has been successful in selling not only mattresses, but also pillows and various other categories of comfortable sleeping products on Amazon. The startup has further plans to launch its products on Pepperfry and Flipkart.

Two years back, in 2017, Sandeep Prasad, a venture capitalist in the US was back home in Pune. He was keen to start his own business and was successful in finding an idea from the problem his mother shared with him. She told him how tough it was to find good mattresses in Pune and in order to buy a good one, the mattresses were as expensive as Rs 30,000. And here he started with his new startup Idea named Wink & Nod.

While Sandeep was working on the idea, he was also handling one of the investments of a US company in a similar domain of innovative sleep products. At that moment, the sleep products were in heavy consideration for it was known how elusive the sleep of the Millenials had become in the Western market. And the same made Sandeep want to research what as the situation in India. Wink & Nod has been catering the metro cities of India including Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai and Gurgaon.
