After the company’s very owned smartphone the OnePlus 5 got an overwhelming response from the fans. The company just got an improvement over this after a few months and here it comes the OnePlus 5T. OnePlus did exactly the same thing in 2016 when it introduced the OnePlus 3T half a year after launching the OnePlus 3OnePlus 5T is the first smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer which supports a bezel less display with 18:9 aspect ratio, face unlock feature and a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. It’s also not a very tall or wide phone and is only slightly larger than OnePlus 3T. It’s worth noting that OnePlus provides a clear plastic case in the box with both the Midnight Black, Sandstone White and Star Wars Edition, which should keep it looking smarter for longer.

  • Design

As far as the design is concerened, the OnePlus 3T looks exactly the same to 5T, and features the same full metal unibody design, with a slightly curved back and rounded sides and corners. The 5T has a bigger screen –  6 inches however, the previous model’s were  5.5 inches – and a higher screen-to-body ratio, at 80 percent up from 73 percent. The 5T is practically the same size as the OnePlus 5.As with many full-screen flagships, this also comes as the  first device from OnePlus which has this 18:9 display. OnePlus has shifted the sensor over to the back, centered as on the Pixel 2.So, the all-new OnePlus 5T comes with a seamless aluminium unibody with rounded edges, just like its predecessor. The smartphone is available in Black colour option and its rear panel comes with an anti-fingerprint coating layer which makes it smudge-free.The smartphone looks pretty sleek and its slightly rounded sides offer a firm grip to the user. One of the major design changes is a bezel-less display. The OnePlus 5T features a 6.01-inch AMOLED display with 18:9 aspect ratio.  The front panel of the smartphone only consists of the screen and the 16MP front camera.

  • Display

The OnePlus 5’s 1080p AMOLED display was practically good, and is the same for the 5T. The only difference is the larger size on the 5T, which only makes the content on-screen look more immersive.  The OnePlus 5T sports a 6.01-inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. This is the first smartphone from the manufacturer to feature a full screen display. The 5T also receives a new technology, OnePlus is calling it as Sunlight Display. This is pretty much similar to Apple’s True Tone feature, Sunlight Display is designed to adjust contrast under harsh light to make content on-screen appear more visible. Also, get rich and vibrant colors with a lot of contrast, and the optional dark mode that is built-in to Oxygen OS to personalize is more. Display is all protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 . The display also has the reading mode and night mode which can be found in other OnePlus smartphones earlier as well.

  • Performance

Indeed, the OnePlus 5T comes with the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and a generous 6GB of RAM, with an option 8GB as well .  In terms of storage, the device offers 64GB and 128GB internal storage, which can be expanded further by adding a microSD card. The RAM management is amazing,  you can run a large number of apps simultaneously, without noticing a single lag.The smartphone  comes with App Priority, which increased the launch speed of your favourite apps, while keeping apps you rarely use from taking up too much memory. The handset also offers a Gaming DND mode, which enables the users to play their favourite games without being bothered by unnecessary notifications. We tried multiple benchmark tests on the smartphone and it scored 199858 in the Antutu test. You can find the result here.

  • Camera

The primary camera is the same 16-megapixel unit as on the OnePlus 5, but now it is joined by a 20-megapixel partner with the same f/1.7 aperture. It’s called Intelligent Pixel Technology, and OnePlus says it helps brighten dark scenes without creating noise by combining four pixels on the image sensor into one, to let in more light. Video recording goes up to 4K at 30fps, 1080p at 60fps, or 720p slow motion at 120fps. • Software

The smartphone has stock Android feel, it’s clean and has no bloatware. It has all the standard features of Oreo but the Oxygen OS brings some interesting features to the smartphone. Users can now customise and optimize the device as per their need. The OnePlus 5T runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box topped with a layer of Oxygen OS 5.0.4. Face ID is a huge step forward for mobile security, and Apple’s rivals are undoubtedly already scrambling to add similar solutions to their own flagship phones.

  • Battery

The OnePlus 5T comes the 3,300mAh battery.Another benefit to Dash Charge is that because it works by increasing current (the cable itself is slightly wider than a typical USB Type-C cable) rather than increasing voltage, it keeps the device cooler, which means charging speed is very good. Typical daily usage during our review on normal usage and that is a great for most of the users.

What we say?

OnePlus considers its T series handsets to be an extension and evolution of its summer releases, taking what it’s already achieved and making it more relevant with a selection of significant updates. The inclusion of Face Unlock is nice, and it works surprisingly well. You’re getting a flagship phone in the OnePlus 5T, at a price which you can afford. The screen is large and with Android 8 Oreo, things get even better for the OnePlus 5T. Better if the company comes with water resistance option atleast. Sound Quality can also be improved as the phone is not featuring any stereo speakers “Others everything is well and the best.”
