After launching the payment service in China, Xiaomi brings Mi Pay to India today. The company has announced today at Redmi GO launch at Delhi. However, Xiaomi made this payment solution available only for the beta users earlier but now it will be soon available for all users. They aim this app for an easy way for people to pay in India and will compete with Paytm and other such services.
The Mi Pay app works similar to the Google Pay wallet and lets users make mobile transactions. With the help of Mi Pay, users will be able to make payments for utilities like the telephone bill, water bill, and electricity bill. Mi Pay will also allow users to recharge their phone numbers, make DTH recharge, among other things.
The company promises full secure and speedy transactions on the app. The app is yet available on the MIUI Beta users and will be rolled out for everyone very soon. Mi-Pay is integrated with MIUI so it will be easy for the users to make transactions without opening the Mi Pay app and you can directly pay, split fares and more features. You can also use the barcodes and can easily make payments with all the merchants available. You can also request money from your friends and family. The app is approved by NPCI BHIM and is powered by ICICI bank.
